Information Technology is the study, design, implementation and management of computer-based information systems, chiefly software applications and computer hardware. The Information Technology Sector is central to the nation’s security, economy, and public health and safety as businesses, governments, academia, and private citizens are increasingly dependent upon Information Technology Sector functions.

Designed with input from industry experts, the B.S. Information Technology degree program is composed of five primary areas of study: systems and services, networking and security, scripting and programming, data management, and the business of IT.
