scienceIn our modern world it seems as if natural science is completely incompatible with religion and (to a large extend) philosophy. In 1800 few had spoken of the “natural sciences” but by 1880, this expression had overtaken the traditional label “natural philosophy”. He asked me several questions concerning my progress in the different branches of science appertaining to natural philosophy.

If scientists on one hand and religious people on the other hand are reluctant to change their views (maybe partly because it would force them to change their whole personal identity), philosophers ought to be seeking the truth without prejudice. Science has brought about far-reaching changes in every sphere of our daily life.
